Teaching Bosses vs. Bosses Who Get Results

I am a terrible teacher for my employees, but I can inspire the shit out of them to work hard and produce.  So, teachers direct an employee’s attention to his shortcomings.  They do this so the employee can better see himself and improve in future endevours.  But, no one likes hearing bad things about themselves.  In the employee’s mind, his teaching boss is a dick.  He’s always degrading (counseling) them.  So the employee ends up knowig himself better but at the same time less motivated to work for the dickheaded teaching boss.

I really don’t give a shit if my employees learn while they are under my employee.  I just want them to work.  If they want to learn they should seek that out on their own time.  So, I encourage, I tell them what I want.  If they give me a shitty product most of the time I can shape it into what I need with little effort – as long as they provide the base.  If any employee does learn from working for me it’s from the work I give them to do, and not from the advice/counsel I offer them.  I rarely tell an employee about their shortcomings…usually I’m touting them despite how turdy they are.  After I tout them I give them work to do and they feel good about doing it…full of confidence, and enoying working for a guy who thinks they are fantastic employees.
